Project

Logo and Brand Identity Design

Client

Shoalhaven Vineyard Tours, a tour company covering the Shoalhaven Coast’s vineyards and wineries, just south of Sydney, Australia.

What we did

Brand identity design; logo design, brand imagery, colour palettes, typography, patterns and graphic elements.

The Challenge

Shoalhaven Vineyard Tours needed a creative base with which to start marketing their Vineyard Tours business. We needed to create a full brand identity with theme which had the flexibility to run through all the marketing collateral the company produced, from their website, to print brochures, online advertising and even their vans. Ease of reproduction was a must given the broad scope of application.

Research

We researched other vineyards in the area but since the Shoalhaven region was new to the vineyard tours market, we also looked further afield to see how the more established companies were presenting themselves. Combining this with research on the Australian Wine Industry, creative brainstorming and many sketches later, three initial brand identity concepts were produced.

Initial Concepts

The Result

The chosen logo and brand identity combined a mixture of two of the concepts and targeted the wine tourist’s attraction to a “rural landscape”. A library of brand assets was supplied containing logo files, fonts, brand patterns and imagery, together with visuals of how these could be translated into real-world scenarios in print and online.

Brand colours

Shoalhaven Vineyard Tours already had ideas of the colours they wanted to incorporate into the brand. A colour palette was created to include these colours, along with guidelines for additional complimentary colours.

Supporting Brand Patterns

Photos of the island and it’s activities became the mood board. The colours almost chose themselves with common colouring running through most of the images we took. Blue and turquoise just seemed the logical choice.

Examples of marketing materials/layout for print

Layouts were produced to show the client how the brand elements could come together to work for real world marketing situations.
